As the head designer of The Cultivated Gardeners, my creativity
is ever challenged and expanded by working with a variety of
clients and sites. My work has included small and large residences
as well as strata and commercial properties. Always at the forefront
is a commitment to sustainable landscapes and educating the
client to the philosophy of Right Plant, Right Place.Travelling
has broadened my understanding of various cultures and influenced
my overall sense of design. Teaching abroad and at home has
influenced my ability to communicate ideas. I look forward to
inspiring future designers by sharing my knowledge and experience. |

I have been the "green sheep" of the family all my
life! A profound awareness of nature's presence, its power,
and its beauty has been a part of me from intuitive childhood
through scientific adult education. As my own knowledge becomes
broader, I am excited about sharing the experience with you.Presently,
being an increasingly busy residential garden designer, the
most fascinating aspect of my work is to apply the principles
of organic land care to a given situation, to have those eye-opening
moments with my clients. I also enjoy taking part in the valuable
exchange of information within the network of the Society for
Organic Urban Land Care and in the community beyond (organic
or still getting there). Everything's connected! |

After many years as a professional landscaper and landscape
designer my life is now almost entirely dedicated to developing
and teaching programs in organic horticulture to landscape professionals
and home gardeners. For diversity there is a bit of research with interesting practices or products, and for exercise there's always my own garden. No shortage of joy! |
